Rev Richard Mortimer
Richard grew up on the hills at the back of Portsmouth within sight of the sea. School proved that anything with numbers would be an eternal mystery to him but he had some facility with languages.
That led Richard to France in 1975 and he came back from working in Burgundy to candidate for the ministry.
After being ordained in 1979, he spent eight years on Tyneside, then sixteen years in East Anglia, and has subsequently been based in and around London since 2003.
He values the Church for its witness to fullness of life, and he values the five churches within the Forest Group for their involvement in their local communities.
Rev Ulrike Bell
Ulrike was born and raised in Germany. She studied Theology in Heidelberg, Jerusalem and Berlin and was ordained as a Lutheran Pastor before coming over to the UK in 2004 to serve the German-speaking Lutheran congregations of West London.
After meeting her husband, Stephen, they decided to live in Oxfordshire, where Ulrike worked first as a hospital chaplain for three years and then as a URC minister in the small rural congregation of Aston Tirrold URC for five years.
She followed the call to the Forest Group in summer 2015, for a half-time ministry. The other “half” of her time she devotes to her lovely daughters Emily and Mariella, who are primary school age.
