Hall Hire

Both Chingford URC and St James' URC have halls and rooms that can be hired on a one-off basis or as a regular booking.

Chingford URC

Chingford URC has three halls available for hire at Buxton Road, Chingford, E4 7DP: our main space, our back hall and our front hall.

Main Church Space

Dimensions: 14.41 x 14.51 metres
Floor area: 209.19 msq
Capacity: 150 to 180 people when seated in orderly rows
Used for: AGMs; concerts, dance and drama; Rainbows, Brownies & Guides; pilates, zumba and line-dancing classes; school assemblies; theatre; Tumble-Tots; local school exam centre.

​NB There is a serving hatch through to our kitchen area.

Front Hall

Dimensions: 7.00 x 7.12 metres
Floor area: 49.89 msq
Capacity: 30 to 40 people when seated in orderly rows
Used for: Rainbows; Committee meetings; training courses; yoga

Back Hall

Dimensions: 6.42 x 11.62 metres
Floor area: 74.67 msq
Capacity: 50 to 60 people when seated in orderly rows
Used for: Meetings of Brownies, Guides and Rangers; AGMs and committee meetings; dance and drama classes; yoga.

St James' URC, Buckhurst Hill

St James' URC has three spaces to hire at Palmerston Road, Buckhurst Hill: our main hall, our small hall and our prayer room.

Our main hall is currently used for dinners and socials, cinema nights, concerts, school activities, sports activities, uniformed groups and toddler play groups. Our smaller spaces service community meetings, Pilates, keep fit, drama, dance and choirs.

Main Hall

Dimensions: 16m x 10m
Floor area: 160 square meters
Capacity: 100 in conference or cinema style
Used for: AGMs; dinners and socials (14 go pack tables fit comfortably), also for cinema nights, concerts, school activities, sports activities, uniformed groups and toddler play groups.

​NB There is a kitchen, with a serving hatch through to the main hall. Projection and sound are available​.

Small Hall

Dimensions: 8m x 6m
Floor area: 48 square meters
Capacity: 40 in conference style
Used for:  Larger meetings, Sunday School, uniformed groups and exhibitions.

NB Projection available.

Prayer Room

Dimensions: 5m x 4m
Floor area: 20 square meters
Capacity: 20 in conference style
Used for: Small meetings

NB Tea bar, projection and sound are available.
