Harvest already? Well St.James URC in Buckhurst Hill have got big plans for a Harvest weekend with a difference this year. We have got the date fixed- 23rd and 24th September. And we are planning to hold a barn dance on the Saturday evening, inviting anyone who grows fruit and vegetables in their allotment, back garden or even their window sill to come along with some of their produce to create a harvest supper that really will be local and home-grown as well as enjoying dancing in true harvest barn dance style.
Margaret Minoletti, the organiser of this event is very busy now contacting local schools, groups and organisations to suggest ways in which they may wish to participate in making this a Harvest to remember. People of all ages can participate in this Harvest, either by growing things, making things or joining with others to think of ways of celebrating our beautiful, natural world as well as protecting it from all that challenges its wellbeing. Please contact Margaret on [email protected] for more details about this Harvest event. We hope you can join in the celebration!. Comments are closed.
